Mapping Trip: Bistriški Vintgar
Yesterday I’ve been hiking around the Bistriški Vintgar area on Pohorje and mapping it. Below are some HDR photos I’ve managed to produce from the trip. I now use a tripod for these things – taking series of bracketed pics for HDR post-processing without a tripod is really problematic (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, don’t worry, just enjoy the scenery).
Otherwise there’s also an old Roman quarry of white marble in the vicinity, but I haven’t visited it this time since the paths were very icy and slippery (I only managed to fall once on the whole trip
– but it’s definitively on my “todo” hiking list.
An archeological site called Ancnikovo gradisce, above the Bistrica stream:

The link to the OSM map is actually in the first sentence of the blog
, but I’ll repost it more clearly: http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=46.4188&lon=15.5315&zoom=14&layers=B000FTF
I haven’t uploaded the GPS log yet because I want to clean it up a bit before uploading – I’m working on a GPX cleanser tool which will be added to the Kosmos Console.
